Happy Fall Y'all

My favorite season is upon us... Fall! Break out the riding boots, skinny jeans, sweaters, scarves, pumpkin spice lattes and apple orchards. I love how the air smells, the ever changing colors on the leaves outside and the noise of crunching leaves as we take our dog on a walk through the park. Every year we make it a point to visit a local apple orchard and pick up our favorite Honey Crisp Apples, apple cider donuts and a few other apple bakery goods that we just can't pass up and of course the hayride through the orchard. This year we made a Fall Bucket List of all the items we love doing (and a few projects to keep our toddler entertained) to make sure we fit them all in. Making it was super easy, I just made a quick template using Microsoft Word and added some fall pictures to spruce it up. (Have to make it look cute hanging on the fridge right?)

Here are just a few of the items on our list this year:

- Visit a local farm during a fall festival
- Carve pumpkins
- Drink apple cider
- Visit an apple orchard
- Make an apple pie
- Make our way through a corn maze
- Make chili
- Snuggle up in front of the fireplace for a cozy night in
- Create art with leaves
- Rake leaves and jump in them
- Snuggle up on a hayride
- Make a stamped apple tree
- Have a bonfire
- Eat apple cider donuts
- Attend the local high school football game
- Go on a walk and crunch leaves with our feet
- Have a family movie night (complete with popcorn and candy corn of course!)
- With all of our activities - Have fun and enjoy our time as a family

I hope this inspires you to get out and enjoy some of the favorite things we love about Fall!

New Home! Filling a home.... Home Decor!

Wow, what a summer! I feel like summer goes by incredibly too fast however this year it seemed to fly by even faster. We had a busy summer. We sold our first home, moved in with my parents while we waited to close on our new home. We have been in our home for a little over a month and are slowly putting it together. I don't like to rush to purchase items just to fill a room and complete it. I like to take my time, search high and low and find the right items to fill a room. We still have lots to buy. We went from a 1400 sq.ft house to a house double that size, plus some. We still have lots of items to hunt for and purchase.

We need to furnish a formal dining room, find area rugs, fill a kitchen (so much space!), find a new informal dining table, coffee tables, end tables, art, furnish a guest room and a loft which we are creating a family movie room. So much to do! Below are some of our favorite finds to date:

Who doesn't need a cute mini strainer for fruit?!
